The devastating experience of infertility brought her to her knees and back to the practice of the Catholic faith. Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse is the founder of the Ruth Institute, a global non-profit organization creating a mass social movement to end family breakdown, by activating the Survivors of the Sexual Revolution.

Dr. Morse earned her Ph.D. at the University of Rochester and taught economics at Yale and George Mason Universities. She is widely published in peer-reviewed economics and law journals, including the American Economic Review, the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, the University of Chicago Law Review and many others.

In 1991, she and her husband adopted a two year old Romanian boy, and gave birth to a baby girl. She left her full-time university teaching post in 1996 to move with her family to California. She was a Research Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution from 1997-2005.

Dr. Morse was a campaign spokeswoman for California’s winning Proposition 8 campaign, defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman. She has authored or co-authored five books and spoken around the globe on marriage, family and human sexuality. Her work has been translated into Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Polish and Chuukese, the native language of the Micronesian Islands. Her newest books are The Sexual Revolution and Its Victims and 101 Tips for Marrying the Right Person, coauthored with Betsy Kerekes.

Under her direction, the Ruth Institute has become a recognized leader in the Marriage Movement. Dr. Morse and her colleagues have developed unique arguments and programs that address family issues from the child's perspsective. The Ruth Institute sponsors the world's only campaign to deal with the crisis of family breakdown: understand it; heal it; end it.

Dr. Morse was named one of the “Catholic Stars of 2013,” on a list that included Pope Francis and Pope Benedict XVI.

Dr. Morse and her husband are parents of an adopted child, a birth child, a goddaughter and were foster parents for San Diego County to eight foster children. Dr. Morse and her husband recently relocated to Lake Charles, Louisiana, where the work of the Ruth Institute continues. Her widely acclaimed presentations combine high quality information from the social sciences, the riches of traditional Catholic teaching and her own personal faith journey.
