Scott N. Warner

Travels from Canton, Ohio

Gold Star father, Scott Warner, decided a couple of years ago to write a book commemorating his son, Heath. It was time. It was finally time to deal with the pain and sorrow in a way that will help others grappling with the death of a service member. Gold Star Father—Honoring a Hero, Remembering a Son not only honors his son who offered his life for our country—it also exposes the atrocities perpetrated by our government when his son’s remains were part of the Arlington National Cemetery debacle.

He figures it’s time for everyone to know exactly what happened. Scott has a tremendous testimony of God's healing power as he shares of his loss, grief and eventual hope through his Catholic faith. He has shared at numerous men's groups, military and community events over the last eight years. He has been featured on CNN, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Associated Press, Taps Magazine, Living With Loss Magazine, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Akron Beacon Journal, The Canton Repository.

Scott Warner is married to wife, Melissa, and father to Chandler, Ashton, and proud parent of Fallen Hero, PVT Heath Warner. PVT Warner was killed by an IED on 22Nov2006 in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq.

Scott is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a BSBA in Business Management, a graduate from Regent University with a Master of Arts in Government, and a graduate from Ashland University with an MBA and currently a doctoral candidate specializing social entrepreneurship at Baker College in Flint, MI.

Mr. Warner is founder and President of the S. N. Warner Family Association, which has a mission to live deeply, care generously, and change lives one at a time. Scott is a professional speaker and author of Gold Star Father – Honoring a Hero and Remembering a Son in which he shares the story of his family’s loss and road back to recovery after their tragic loss. Mr. Warner is an advocate for surviving military families and veterans.

Residing in Canton, Ohio, Scott loves high school and college football, running, talk radio, politics and reading. His goal in life is to be the best husband and father he can be and contribute to his community.
