The Lee Roessler Band's story begins 27 years ago (10 years before Lee was born!) when a young youth minister began praying for a group of your people who would think it was cool to lift Jesus up through contemporary Christian music. the youth minister had a vibrant ministry in her church but no one came forth as musicians.

After 10 years, the Lord moved the youth minister to the local high school to teach the Scriptures. Again, campus ministry thrived but no musicians stepped up. Like Abraham the youth minister waited  sometimes patiently, sometimes not, for that special group of young people to embrace the Lord through their music.

In 2005, a group of girls who were active in campus ministry heard the call to form a band. Lee, an incoming freshmen walked into Scriptures class, saw drums and a guitar and asked if people got to play music in this school. The youth minister invited him to play and his "yes" began the answer to the long ago prayers of the youth minister. This first band was called Monday's Child since it was a facet of the school's campus ministry entitle Monday's Child. God brought together a group of talented teen musicians who primary goal was to provide meaningful worship music for their school's liturgical services. The band's reputation spread and much to their amazement, they began to be invited to play a variety of local events. The Lord gave them opportunities that they would never have dreamed of. In addition to all of the local requests, they did a small tour in Florida and they were invited to play in Atlanta for The Nation Catholic Youth Conference, a gathering of 20,000 teens. The Lord took Lee to Uganda, Africa in July of 2007 where he taught a guitar camp and performed on an African radio station.

The band ministry flourished, yet, as it happens in high school, people move on but the Lord wasn't finished with Lee's "yes." During the summer of 2007, the Holy Spirit led Lee(guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter) and Monday's Child's Derek Kramer(bass) to two amazing musicians who responded to a call to give up their lucrative secular band to play for the Lord full time. Aaron Mahoney (guitar, keys, vocalist) and Zorin McGuire (percussion) joined Derek and Lee to form The Lee Roessler Band.

The Lee Roessler Band is committed to sharing the hope we have in Jesus with a fresh contemporary sound that appeals to young people and all people seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord.
