 In 1975, they came back to Jesus after three painful years awayfrom the Lord and His Church.

Bob and Penny Lord  were born Catholics, but  walked away from their Church and their Lord after their son's tragic death,  due to an overdose of drugs.  Through the intercession of  Our Lady, They  came back to Jesus and His Church, only now as Converts, on fire, thirsting  to know more about this Church founded by Jesus.

        In 1976, Bob and Penny began traveling to Catholic Shrines of Jesus, Mary, the Saints and the Angels, and founded  Journeys of Faith, a ministry dedicated to Evangelization through Communication.

        In 1986, they  were granted non-profit status for Journeys of Faith under IRS 501(3c).  They were awarded the Poverello Award - The highest award given by Franciscan University at Steubenville for their evangelistic work through pilgrimages and books and television Ministry Television Hosts - for the last twenty years on Catholic Television.

Through Mother Angelica, and EWTN,  what began as a national outreach to 40,000,000 homes has grown  into international evangelization to the whole world  through television, radio and the printed  word.

Bob and Penny  have hosted 10 television series for EWTN - shown on a rotating basis 5-7 days a week

and have made over 200 programs in all to date.  Bob and Penny  have made numerous appearances on Mother Angelica Live!  Their programs go to the British Isles, Russia, Korea, the Pacific Rim, Germany, South America and Spanish-speaking countries.  They have traveled to Europe, Mexico, Canada and videotaped documentaries based on their books.

Authors - Well-known  throughout the world.  They have written 25 books, two of which have been translated into various languages.  They are currently working on their 26th book.

Lecturers  

They have a burning love for Mother  Church and travel to all the Dioceses in the United States, Europe, Canada and Mexico, giving Lectures, Days of Recollection, Retreats and  Workshops on the subjects they have written about in their books.  They speak at conferences sharing the Good News of Jesus.

Publishers of the Good Newsletter

The Ministry publishes a quarterly newspaper, the Good Newsletter, which is to spread the Good News of Jesus and the Traditions of our Roman Catholic Faith, and to present authentic Catholic Apologetics. 

Pilgrimage Ministry

For the last twenty three years, they have brought pilgrims to the shrines of Europe, Holy Land, Canada & Mexico.

Founders - Holy Family Mission, The Holy House of Nazareth and St. Joseph Retreat Center

In 2000, the Ministry created a Mission , dedicated to Evangelization.   Here, they hold Conferences, Retreats, Days of Recollection and Parish Missions with the idea of helping Mother Church  make Fishers of Men.  

Defenders of the Faith

As  Defenders of the Faith, they  have been acknowledged as experts in the fields  of Catechesis and  Apologetics.     

They  are recipients of  Awards   for excellence in the field of Television, Education and Catechetics.

They have been included in Who's Who in America for 2004. 

The Focus of their Ministry is Evangelization through Communication.
