"Showing God's Love Through Dance"

Chris was born in Washington D.C. by biracial parents of American and Asian descent.  Although he was born in the states, Chris was raised in Taiwan and attended an English-speaking educational institution.  At the age of 10 his family decided to settle back in the states where Chris would finish his education.

In the early 90’s Chris was introduced to rap and hip-hop dance.  Chris was fascinated with this dance style and found himself emulating dance moves from popular rap artists.  As time passed, his desire for dance intensified and he started performing for live audiences.

Chris grew up without a faith education and when he reached early college, he became an atheist.  Chris mocked Christians and believed the church was only a money making cult.  But as he continued to live a life of selfishness, he soon found himself feeling the weight of his sins and those of others.  Chris fell into much anxiety, depression, and emptiness, so Chris sought healing but from a contradictory source - Jesus, which eventually led to his conversion.

In 2004, Chris felt called to Steubenville Ohio to attend Franciscan University.  While there
he took master and undergraduate courses in theology and grew in his understanding of the Roman Catholic Faith.  Chris also became a member of Urban Annunciation - a Catholic hip-hop ministry and started his own hip-hop breakdancing class.  In addition, Chris performed for many religious events, including Urban Missions and St. Joseph Dance Competitions.
