Dr. Regis Martin,
has been a professor of dogmatic and systematic theology at Franciscan
University of Steubenville, Ohio, since 1988. Students eagerly enroll in his
courses, such as Mary in the Modern World, The Sacraments, The Trinity, Grace and
the Virtues, Foundations of Catholicism, Fathers and Doctors of the Church: St.
John of the Cross, St. Theresa of Avila and St. Therese of Lisieux, among
others that he teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

viewers know Dr. Martin as a regular panelist on Franciscan University Presents, a theology discussion program to
which Dr. Martin brings his knowledge of the Catholic faith, keen wit, and
occasional humor as the panel probes timely moral and religious topics.
In addition, Dr. Martin is a popular speaker at many Catholic conferences, retreats, and other settings. Among his presentations: The Crisis in the Catholic Church; The Lives of the Saints, including the Elizabethan Martyrs and St. Thomas More; several presentations on the Blessed Virgin Mary and her role as intercessor and model in our lives; The Catholic Literary Renaissance; the “Four Last Things--Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell” (eschatology); and presentations on suffering, especially on how Christ’s suffering and death pertain to many forms of human suffering, such as depression and abandonment and the value of redemptive suffering. Presentations on other themes can be arranged in advance.
