"Inspired By Christ"

Travels from: St. Louis, Missouri

“What's keeping you from serving the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul?” For many of us, the question arises, but then leaves. For one reason or another, we don't fully give ourselves to the service of God. Like each of us, Kyle was searching for meaning in his life, looking for a purpose greater and larger than himself. Little did he know that this question was the seed of his vocation, the beginning of something that would change the direction of his life forever.

Raised throughout the Midwest, Kyle encountered the truth about Jesus Christ in a unique and profound way during his freshman year of college. With his faith awakened, Kyle sought out the wisdom of the Church to increase his understanding of the rich Christian tradition.  Two years after Kyle received his undergraduate degree in finance, he decided to leave corporate America in order to pursue his calling as a Catholic evangelist. Exactly two years after that, Kyle gave his first formal presentation at the Respect Life Convention in St. Louis, Missouri.

Early in Kyle's faith journey, he saw the need for greater and more affective lay leadership within the Church community.  Armed with a master's degree in preaching and a genuine love  for the Gospel truth, Kyle founded the Catholic EvangelistTM to help meet this great need. The Catholic EvangelistTM finds support for its mission in the papal encyclicals Evangelii Nuntiandi and Redemptoris Missio, as well as the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop’s document Go and Make Disciples: A National Plan and Strategy for Catholic Evangelization in the United States. The ministry of the Catholic Evangelist responds to the call put forth in these documents by passionately bringing a renewed spirit of evangelization into our world. Through the Catholic EvangelistTM, Kyle seeks to work with the Holy Spirit in planting the seeds of faith.  It is the belief of the Catholic EvangelistTM that these seeds of faith, nourished by the Gospel truth, will bear much fruit in our spiritually famished world. Please visit his web site (www.catholicevangelist.org) for more information about the ministry of the Catholic EvangelistTM.

Prior to founding the Catholic EvangelistTM, Kyle served the Church in different ways. Kyle served as both retreat leader and parish youth minister. In these positions, Kyle spent time speaking at parish youth ministry events and high school retreats. More specifically, Kyle has served at Marianist retreats and worked as part of the itinerant retreat ministry known as the REAP team in the archdiocese of St. Louis. Additionally, Kyle has been invited to speak at parishes, high schools, and the annual Kansas City Youth Conference held in Overland Park, Kansas.

Empowered by the Spirit received at baptism, Kyle inspires audiences to believe in the power and majesty of God’s redeeming love. Through captivating stories and insightful analogies, his messages aim to transform hearts and minds to live a life for Christ. Kyle leads people to discover union with God as the ultimate source of happiness. This fulfillment comes through a unique and personal relationship with God's son, Jesus.

Pop Culture: How To Become Popular By Doing Unpopular Things

Many teens today want to be liked, not by one person, but by everybody. Unfortunately, some high school teens choose destructive methods to gain popularity. In an age of virtual friendship and mass communication, what will help high school teens build healthy relationships?  Service!  Kyle investigates the Christian understanding of service as modeled by Christ.  In this talk, Kyle presents the story of one person who served not to become popular, but became popular because she served.  Kyle invites all high school teens to embrace a servant's heart in order to satisfy their heart's desire – acceptance.
