He has gone from a fashion model, to an inspirational "faith model"... or as one magazine put it, "from a Miami playboy to a Jesus Christ Superstar."  

Mario St. Francis is a full-time “man on a mission” who travels internationally as an evangelist, spokesperson and Catholic consultant.  He has worked on 3 international Catholic films and has been referred to as a "techno-missionary" because of his avid use of technology as a means to evangelize.  



Truly an international speaker!  Just this year alone Mario St. Francis has traveled non-stop to 4 continents, 13 countries,  59 cities, seen the Pope on 3 continents and spoken at venues in 3 languages (English, Spanish and Italian).

He has been involved in the following areas:  
    

•    MOVIES: Affiliated with 3 faith-based movies; "Bella," "Guadalupe," and "The Blood and the Rose."  Mario has been a Line Producer, Field Producer, Logistics and even Producer and Director.
    

•    SPEAKER:  He has spoken in 3 languages, in 4 continents, over 13 countries, and over 85 cities.  He has appeared at events ranging from a prayer group of 3 to standing-room-only crowds.  He speaks at schools, church's, auditoriums, conferences or just one-on-one.  He has been featured on Catholic blogs, national radio shows and on international TV shows.  His life as a "Catholic model" has also been featured in 2 fashion magazines!
    

•   PILGRIMAGES: He experienced his first pilgrimage at World Youth Day in Toronto, Canada in 2002.  Now he is co-director of Youth in Europe, a Catholic pilgrimage company that has taken thousands to World Youth Day in Germany, Australia and is currently working on Madrid 2011.  He leads pilgrimages to other Holy sites such as Rome, Assisi, Lourdes, Fatima and soon they will also provide trips to the Holy Land.     

•    MARRIAGE & FAMILY:  Mario helps ‘marriages-in-trouble’ to consult with effective and faith-based professionals with a mission to preserve the beauty, integrity and sanctity of the Sacrament of marriage. 
  He has worked in various ways in support of marriage and family.  He has mentored children (teaching them baseball, tennis, swimming, as well as spiritual mentorship).  He has also helped families-in-need with painting , moving, maintenance and spring cleanings.

•    PRO-LIFE: He has worked both as a media coordinator as well as an activist for anti-abortion campaigns and works closely with pro-life apostolates that work directly with helping women keep their babies as well as financially supporting them in times of need.
    

•    MUSCLE THERAPY: His faith "conversion" occurred while studying to be a muscular therapist in the area of pain management.  After becoming board certified he never took up the career, rather his missions of charity have included "fixing" people suffering from muscular pain and educating them to stay pain free.

The “Dis-appointments” were really “HIS-appointments!”

Mario was a model and actor where he was featured in fashion shows, magazines, music videos and even a soap-opera in South America.  He was named 1 of America's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors in Cosmopolitan Magazine, one of Miami's Top 10 men and earned the title of “Mr. Santander” in Colombia, S.A.  He was competing for title of “Mr. Colombia” in order to then go on for the title of  “Mr. World” (an international pageant looking for the worlds most handsome and all-around best men).  This "life in the fast lane" was stopped shortly after breaking his hand and laying on the floor for 1 hour,  30 minutes before signing his biggest contract… (this was one of the 15 scary accidents that he has had in life)  but his conversion was no accident!!  This “Dis-appointment” were really “HIS-appointment!”

While lying injured on the floor, alone, for one hour, Mario began questioning the use of the fame, money and prestige he was seeking.  After a series of events that would follow over the next year, combined with a priests' talk that he attended, Mario's life was flipped upside down and inside out! Never to be the same, Mario left it all behind and began a new life.

The Nature of his Mission:

His hope is that other "lost sheep" will come back Home to God.  

His mission is to sound a call to non-believers to believe, 
for non-Catholic Christians to understand the great treasury they used to share with Catholics, and for lapsed Catholics to return back to their faith and to be "on-fire" 
with love and knowledge of their Catholic Faith.  

An authentic faith was what Mario had been missing all along.  Reflecting back he admits, "I was embarrassed."  "I was raised and educated as a Catholic, and at 24 came to find out how amazing it all is, that God is real and true, and that my faith isn't for old ladies and people who have nothing better to do!  Everything I learned as a child finally made sense! It’s all about Christ who transformed history, the lives of millions, and loved me to the point of suffering and dying for me.   This is what God wants, we just need to get with it and say YES!  This is Big, the biggest news ever. How could I not go and tell the world?  My faith and Christ's passion are now my passion, and I can't help but live for it.  I am proud to be Catholic, its amazing!   Ya gotta get with it and get on board."

Franciscan U. of Steubenville: 

After about 1 year and a half after his conversion he enrolled at this "infamous" university for theological formation.  He set out with a high vision for himself and his ministry and tackled 4 concentrations.  Catachetics, Theology, Philosophy and Media.  The quadruple threat!  Armed with the infamous formation of the Franciscan University of Steubeville, and the experience of being a Catholic in Hollywood, Mario turned in his old “big dreams” for even "bigger ones," and now seeks to spread the faith and gospel to a hungry, loud and unchaste world.

He is one of our unique speakers who has set up a Scholarship fund with CMG Booking ,as well as his own personal fund, to make it possible for those with limited budgets to still afford to have him at their events.  After covering expenses, all other proceeds go towards great and rewarding apostolates and ventures such as:
    

•    Providing sacramental’s to his audiences such as rosaries, scapulars, miraculous medals, and Benedictine crucifixes. He often has these blessed by the Pope before distribution.
               

•    CD’s, Books and Movies to mail to the Youth to enrich their faith, inspire and educate.
    

•    Financially assisting marriages and families that face financial crisis, marital strife or want to enrich their marriages with a retreat, renewal seminar or other help.
    

•    Pro-Life ministries seeking to save mothers and their unborn children from the scourge of abortion.
    

•    Mario’s personal faith enrichment, such as retreats and pilgrimages and conferences for his own theological and spiritual development.
    

•    A scholarship fund for those schools, parishes, and conferences that may not be financially able to afford a speaker.  This fund would cover costs that they otherwise could not afford.
    

•    A WYD scholarship fund to send youth to World Youth Day who otherwise could not afford it.
