"Pro-Life v.s. Pro-Choice, Settling the Debate"

Travels from: Chicago, IL
Yvonne Florczak-Seeman was born in Chicago, IL in 1964.  At 16 years of age she ran away with her boyfriend and became pregnant.  She chose to have an abortion, which led to depression, continual feelings of guilt and a sense of constant torment.  In order to numb the pain.

she began using drugs and even attempted suicide.  In her depressed state, she continued to be sexually involved with her boyfriend and had four additional abortions.  Several years later, Yvonne finally turned to the only means of peace, her Heavenly Father.  By God’s grace, she has risen above the difficulties of her past.  Today she is married to Richard Seeman and is the mother of four children Kevin (15), Michael (10), and Sarah (5) and Daniel (18 months)

Yvonne’s desire to keep others from experiencing the trauma she went through has given her the courage to speak out on behalf of the unborn and post-abortive women.  For the past 10 years she has spoken to tens of thousands of middle and high school students about the consequences of abortion and the importance of chastity through a program run by the Archdiocese of Chicago.  She also shares her testimony and describes the difficulty of overcoming the effects of abortion on both television and radio programs. She has done this on Fox News through Hannity’s America, Telemundo Spanish Television, Total Living Network, and Comcast Cable, as well as the Scott Thomas radio program WYLL and has become a regular guest on the Drew Mariani Show on Relevant Radio.  Yvonne also desires to bring a message of hope and healing to post-abortive women.  One of the ways she does this is by hosting retreats for post-abortive women through Project Rachel.  These retreats take the form of slumber parties in an attempt to help the women return to the childlike innocence that was stolen by their abortions, and they have been very successful.  She has developed a ministry called Time to Speak designed to educate people about the consequences of abortion and to mobilize post-abortive women to come out of denial and into healing.  The ministry also teaches people in various situations how to speak effectively about the topic of abortion.  Yvonne has authored two books the first A Time to Speak a journal for post-abortive women to help them work through the process of healing. The other book is a 12-week Bible Study Program for post-abortive women called “A Time to Heal”, which received an imprimatur 2007 by Bishop J Peter Sartain of Joliet, Illinois.

Yvonne is the President and Founder of Love From Above, a company that seeks to employ women who have been hurt by abortion, or who are in crisis pregnancies, and single moms who have chosen life rather than abortion.  She is currently developing a Pure Revolution, a movement designed to encourage chastity in youth by calling them to revolutionize their lives, and the world around them, by committing themselves to purity in every area of their lives.  The program will work with students on an ongoing basis to assist them in accomplishing these objectives. Yvonne works with and supports a variety of organizations including: National Foundation for Life, Woman’s Choice Services, and Project Rachel.  She was on the board of directors of an inner city shelter called New Moms for three years and she is currently on the board of directors for the Woman’s Choice Services.  She has testified before the Illinois State legislators on a Woman’s “Right to Know” bill 1453 and lobbied endless hours against the False Parental Consent Notification HB317 with Illinois Mothers.  She has addressed the USCCB at its national conference about how important it is for the church to reach out to post-abortive women from the pulpit.  Her greatest accomplishments have been the women in which God has entrusted to her through the Bible Study Program  A Time to Heal, for its through their lives of victory and freedom that she sees how God has turned the evils of their past into Hope for their future if they are willing to go the distance with the Creator.  As a woman Yvonne believes that only when women enter a place of obedience by giving of herself to Almighty God through her body surrendered by rejecting societies criminal way of representing “reproductive rights” and when we re-claim our Motherhood and stand up to this evil only then will abortion end.

A Time to Speak: A Healing Journal for Post-abortive Women

"Im inspired. I've never had an abortion, but I had my son when I was 17 years old. I know a handle full of friends that have had abortions. It's such a difficult subject. I don't judge people who have made that decision, but it is hard to try to support their decision. I think your ministry is great. The world needs more people like you, who are willing to address the subject and rather than post judgement on the women that have had abortions. With so many Catholics against abortion, it seems like we are alienating these women who desire God's love too. I'm all for supporting God's love." - Angelina, San Antonio, TX
