Marge Fenelon is a Catholic author, journalist, and and speaker. She’s a frequent contributor to a number of Catholic media and is a regular guest on Catholic radio. She’s written several books about Marian devotion and Catholic family life, including When's God Gonna Show Up?, Strengthening Your Family: A Catholic Approach to Holiness at Home, and Imitating Mary: Ten Marian Virtues for the Modern Mom. Her newest book, Our Lady, Undoer of Knots: Living the Novena (A Guided Meditation from the Holy Land) has just been released by Ave Maria Press. Her unique mix of spark, Marian spirituality, and simple holiness peppered with an occasional reality check has invigorated audiences in a variety of venues.
Marge Fenelon has been writing for Catholic and secular publications for nearly two decades. More than fifteen years ago, she decided to leave behind the secular business world and her position as public relations consultant in order to focus her talents and energies on serving the Church and Catholic media. She is a longtime contributor to a variety of Catholic and secular publications—including Our Sunday Visitor, National Catholic Register, Catholic News Service, and Catholic Digest. Fenelon blogs at National Catholic Register and Catholic to the Core on Patheos and is a columnist for the Milwaukee Catholic Herald.
She is the author of several books related to Marian devotion and Catholic family life. Her titles include When’s God Gonna Show Up? (Liguori, 2009); When’s God Gonna Call Me Back? (Liguori, 2009); Strengthening Your Family: A Catholic Approach to Holiness at Home (Our Sunday Visitor, 2011); Imitating Mary: Ten Marian Virtues for the Modern Mom Ave Maria Press, 2013), and Our Lady, Undoer of Knots: A Living Novena (Guided Reflections from the Holy Land), (Ave Maria Press, 2015).
Fenelon is a regular part of Relevant Radio’s Morning Air, a frequent guest on EWTN’s Son Rise Morning Show and has appeared on many others, including Register Radio, EWTN’s At Home with Jim and Joy, and Ave Maria Radio’s Catholic Connection with Teresa Tomeo and The Good Fight with Barbara McGuigan. She’s also known for her guest appearance on EWTN Television’s Catholic Mom’s Café with host Donna Marie Cooper O’Boyle and for her commentary on EWTN’s live broadcast of the Schoenstatt Movement’s 100th Jubilee events in Schoenstatt, Germany.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a certificate in spiritual mentoring from Cardinal Stritch University. Fenelon also holds a certificate in Marian studies from the International Marian Research Institute and is a member of the Mariological Society of America. She’s a consecrated member of the Apostolic Movement of Schoenstatt and an instructor for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Permanent Deacon Wives Program. In May, 2014 she traveled with the Catholic Press Association to the Holy Land as part of Pope Francis’ pilgrimage there. In September, 2014 she completed The Church Up Close, an intensive training course for foreign journalists in Rome conducted by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in collaboration with the Pontifical Council for Social Communications. She is the recipient of the 2015 Egan Fellowship. She is a life-long Catholic, wife, mother of four grown children, and lives in Milwaukee.
